CHECKERS PORTFOLIO TRAVEL GAME

Take all the fun of this classic game with you whenever you go! The convenient portfolio case houses a beautiful, wood game board and plastic game pieces.

Place the game board so that there is a dark square to the left of each player. Using the silver and gold game pieces, each player places four pieces on the first three rows or light squares i.e.. 12 pieces per player. Gold always starts, and play is only on the light squares.

A piece moves diagonally one square at a time, forward–not backward. If a piece reaches the far side of the board it becomes a King (place a rubber grommet on the game piece to indicate it is a King) and can now move diagonally in any direction. A piece may also "leap-frog" over another piece if there is a vacant square beyond and if the other piece belongs to the opponent. The jumped piece is removed from the board (captured). If a player fails to capture an opponent’s piece the opponent’s piece may on his next turn remove the offending piece. This does not count as his move.

Play continues until one player wins by capturing all of his opponent’s pieces, or a draw is declared.
